Good Morning! This is Waldo. a/k/a Norm!!
I woke up this morning in Sognedal, Norway. It has taken us 4 days to drive here from Amsterdam. We arrived last night around 8:00 PM after a two-hour car ferry trip from Gudvangen to Kaupanger. The car ferry traversed the Sognefjord which is the largest fjord in Norway and the third largest in the world. The fjord stretches 205 kilometers across the middle of Norway. Unfortunately, the weather was less than ideal. We had rain and clouds which are not good for photos. But, the crossing was fantastic with beautiful steep mountains on both sides of the fjord coming right down to the edges of the fjord. We saw cascading waterfalls everywhere and the sea was a beautiful glacier green. We will spend today exploring the area by car and leave tomorrow for Stockholm which is a two-day drive.
