June 30, 2013. I lost my best friend today. Jim Poshard passed away this morning. He died too young, as did our friends who died before him Danny Perkins and Jack Sternberg. Jim may be gone, but he will never be forgotten by those of us that knew him and loved. him. Jim and I talked almost daily for 38 years. We had many discussions, a few disagreements, but never a fight during all those years. We had a friendship that will last forever. Jim was always a man of his word. You may not agree with him. But, if he told you he was going to do something, you could take his word to the bank. And, of course, if he told you he wasn’t going to do something, you could damn well count on him not doing it! Jim would give you the shirt off his back and NEVER ask you why you needed it He was also a big enough man to say when he was wrong and that he was sorry when he knew it and he meant it. Jim lived life to its fullest. I will miss Jim’s love, friendship, daily calls, and most of all I will miss his sense of humor! He could make anyone laugh and often did. No one was quicker with a funny comment or joke to fit every occasion. He will be missed by all, especially his daughter Holly, his son in law Casey, his grandchildren that he loved so much, his companion Natasha and me. My meager words here today will never be able to express the love I have for Jim. But tonight I will have a drink and raise my glass to you Jim knowing you are making them laugh in heaven as you did on earth!!
He was a great guy. I have not seem him in a few years, but when i did it was like we has been talking all the time. He was truly a grwat guy. He made me laugh evertime we were together.

Norm,
I am very sorry to hear about Jim. I know you will miss him and I am sorry you were not home but I am sure he is thrilled that you are on this trip of your dreams. He is in a place to watch over you and Rita while you are on your great adventure. Have a good week and I hope Rita’s ear is better. I think you are funny too.
Love,
Martha
